Considering Retirement Again

Dear Readers,

First off, my health hasn't been well. Notice the gap last month? I had bronchitis. Now I'm in a relapse.

Secondly, I'm becoming disenfranchised from TG fiction.

Mainly I don't like where the culture is going. I'm afraid some scenarios I write and have written may be offensive to modern TG audiences.

I am old school. Two genders. It's biology not a construct.

So, it's now gotten to a point where uber acceptance is turning into uber judgmental.

A woman just publicly came out saying she's transgender because she's a gay man born in a woman's body and is fine staying as a presenting female.

In other words, she's a straight woman.

Thing is, by today's standards people are supposed to be supportive and accept what she said. They're not.

I guess she's some sort of celebrity and there's already calls for the cancel culture to cancel her because they believe she's just saying all this for the clicks.

Recently I made a comment personally about how I believe transitioning shouldn't happen until someone has gone through puberty and become a legal adult.

I was disregarded and told I was wrong even after opening up and explained what I went through at a young age.

My own personal admittance of wanting to be a woman way back when was hard for me to do. It meant nothing. My story of eventually coming to terms with my body image meant nothing. I wasn't supporting the woke stance so my insight didn't count.

My stance was a person should thoroughly research transitioning and be absolutely sure that's what they want before doing it.

So, I don't know how or even if I still fit in the TG community at all.

I think I'm done.

Sincerely,
Gensabi

  1. It's all a matter of personal perspective, most write caps, because they feel that way inside they feel comfortable with how they truly see themselves be it man or a woman. It's really up to them. And in this case you need to figure out what you want from life. What you truly feel or represent yourself as you as a person mr.gensabi. man or woman does not matter as long as you are happy with yourself, and your life, and the way you lived it. That's all that matters. How you feel, dont let anyone's sense of opinion or words dissuade you. Be yourself, be gensabi, no one else, man or woman dont matter just be yourself and be the you you want to be. Take care of yourself my friend

    1. Thanks. See, I came to terms with being a male long ago. Years ago. I'd say by 2007 I had come to terms with my body image.

I kept writing because of the fans mostly. Was still on Yahoo Groups back then. It felt like being Gensabi had gotten too big to quit.

Every time I tried to quit back then there were people who would fight me about it. When I talked about whether or not doing captioning was still right for me to do I was angrily told I was full of it for what I said.

I viewed this as an art. As a creative endeavor. That was called crap.

I eventually found myself at odds with the TG captioning community over my American ideals clashing with how Rachel's Haven is run.

Again, I saw captioning as an art that should be available for everyone to enjoy whether they comment or participate or not.

With the way the world is now I'm not sure if I still fit in the realm of TG fiction.

How long is it before political correctness comes after me?

The last couple years I've had wavering convictions about being Gensabi. It felt good when I retired, but then I made more.

The stories I tell are not politically correct. It's all fiction, but nowadays people take fiction way too seriously.

  2. It's really the world that's the way it is unfortunately. I would say keep writing and expressing yourself, but it seems you are at a crossroads in some form, you must decide your path, wherever it leads you. I hope this isnt the end of gensabi, since I love your caps a lot, inspired me to start, before it got taken down, I thank you for that, never thought about captioning but i did before it got taken down. Thank you so much

    1. Thanks. I would've loved to read yours if I'd known about them.

Maybe when I'm physically better I can think more clearly. I've been having a lot of headaches.

    2. Maybe when you get better or feel like you, you can help me with some of them.

    3. That's cool. My health has been funky today. Most of the day has been in the bathroom.

  3. I agree. Finding your captions inspired me to wanna make more of mines. You always have a creative mindset on these. But you're at a fork in the road here. The choice is yours. But know this, not everyone takes fiction too real. Some like to read it and some like to be trolls on the web. We all love your work. Think it over one last time. Above all, thank you for these amazing captions

    1. Thanks. I don't know what to do.

I mean, if I keep going I'm afraid of two or three things happening.

One, I die and nobody knows.

Two, my works get called out for not being politically correct and they get removed from the internet by force.

Three, the nature of TG changes so much that my works are no longer relevant to the genre in general.

I'll admit, my works aren't as extensive as they were ten years ago. Or even 5 years ago.

It's not easy to keep going for this long. Heck, I never got everything uploaded of my archives anyways.

      You make capped pics too?

I don't find cappers that often.

  4. Don't quit because of the perceived rejection from the community. If you still enjoy writing and sharing stories, I think you should continue doing so. I have enjoyed reading your captions for a while now, I just began my own blog partly because of you! My version of the Great Shift is a kind of fusion of your Blast! series.

I very much doubt that political correctness will get your content removed. Assuming you are in the US/EU/CAN, it will take a lot for a private blog like this to get removed. It is much more likely to get removed for "adult content" than an overzealous politically correct entity imho.

If you'd like to check out my blog, it's https://rookcaps.blogspot.com I have caps scheduled for release over the next couple weeks. I'd love some feedback if you'd be willing to give it. :) Do what makes you happy! This is supposed to be a hobby.

    1. Thanks. I did check out your blog and that caption. I left a comment.

I'm in the USA, but caps even being a racial swap might be too politically incorrect. I've seen how things are on Twitter and even YouTube now. It's getting crazy online.

  5. Political Correctness is ruining EVERYTHING in this world. Its got beyond crazy and the future is indeed a bleak one. I see a police state like what China has already, but worse. You won't be able to see or do anything for fear of being prosecuted for "offending" someone, somewhere. I've always enjoyed your work Gensabi, you've been one of the best captioners on the Net. I discovered some time ago that this world has changed for the worse, and keeps getting worse. Of course in the end it's up to you what you eventualy decide to do. I stopped captioning a few years back now, but I do the occasional one or two now and then. I just stay away from controversal topics, whichs adly, is becoming everything. You will be missed if you go, but I wouldn't surrender if I were you unless you have completely lost interest in what you do. As for your health, there's not much I can say except to wish you the best and hope it improves my friend. Take care. -Liz

    1. Thanks. I know it's worse over where you're at.

The nature of TG has changed so much I'm not sure if what I'm doing is offensive or not.

I mean, there's places over here now that recognize over 30 genders!

I've been told that only supporting TG that's male to female or female to male is being Trans-phobic or exclusionary or bigoted.

To me the whole point of transgender is to switch from one gender to the other!

I hope you're doing well. My health has gotten a bit better tonight.

    2. Just shows you how warped this world is. There are only two genders, male and female. That is it! That is the truth. It the truth offends, tough shit. Tell 'em that.

    3. Actually, I do believe there's 3. The third being hermaphrodite like that sports person Caster Semenya that was born with both genitalia.

It's more rare, but it does happen.

To me if someone is transitioning you use the pronouns of what they're becoming.

If a man is becoming a woman then use female pronouns. If a woman is becoming a man use male pronouns.

      Easy peezy lemon squeezy.
