Comments, ETC

Dear Readers, Haters, Etc,

First off I retired from making new capped pics, but the blog is staying up.

Secondly, for the commenter that posted a "War And Peace" level thread I'm still trying to read all of it. Like I get bits read then my brain needs to focus elsewhere.

I was going to explain the personal costs being Gensabi had. It's actually why I'm not married or have kids. Because telling the one I loved, was engaged to, helped end that last decade. So yes, I'm still paranoid, yes I'm not open, because I understand that doing so is folly. People might feign understanding or acceptance, but they don't actually do either. Please keep telling me how I've sacrificed nothing at all though. Or belittling what I went through.

I can see the forest for the trees. I know a huge backlash is coming. Worse than the purges on the web during the '00s. Only adults should be able to transition. Hormone blockers are bad. Kids need to go through puberty to figure out what they are. Making up or forcing others to use made up undefinable pronouns? That's not Transgender, but labeling it as such means that's the community that's going to get the brunt of the backlash. Real Transgender rights are taking a backseat to this nonsense! Gay marriage was a huge win, but Congress hasn't made it a law yet have they? Just like they never codified Roe V. Wade either. Shit will hit the fan.

People were OK with adults transitioning, getting sex changes, marrying was a huge hurdle as laws didn't recognize same sex partners and some states used genetic definitions of sex no matter what surgeries you had...that problem is moot thanks to gay marriage. People could understand going from male to female or vice versa. It was easy, simple, just use the pronouns of which gender you became.

Now? All these abstract genders, people can even identify as cameras now per a video I saw...where they were told to stop filming in that area until the person said they identified as a camera! It's absurd. Ridiculous. The non-binary are going to cause a backlash against all Transgender people because they invaded the Transgender space to take it over.

Separately? Most people didn't give a crap about adult people having sex changes and living their lives normally. Some got funky over bathrooms. That's been resolved mostly now that places have gender neutral ones. You get a Zir that demands you use their made up words they can't even tell you what it means, or what constitutes being one, then people smell the bullshit. You can believe being born into the wrong body, but what kinda body is a Zir supposed to have?

I'm tired. That was a rant.

Sincerely,

Whatever

  1. We forgot the golden rule. Never judge a book by it's cover. Some transgender people are some of the nicest human beings you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting, whilst some will chew your ass out if you don't look at them the right way. My policy is, If your an asshole, I'll treat you like an asshole. As far as I can tell, your not an asshole. I'll miss your captions. Enjoy your well deserved retirement.

  2. Isn't that poor neo pronouns straw man tired yet? Be honest, have you even met someone who aggressively enforces their neo pronoun of choice?

Like, I'm sure these people exist, but you act like you're encountering multiple people behaving that way every day. Literally the only neo pronoun usage i have seen is occasionally in weird pockets of the Internet and you act like they're around every corner like an LGBT bogeyman

  3. What a bizarrely Conservative take. Helping healthy exploration of gender among younger people significantly reduces the rates of suicide among trans youth. Hormone blockers are just that: blockers. Stop taking them, it gets unblocked. De-transitioning is a thing (and also highly stigmatized, btw).

Why do you get to be the one who defines what transgender means? These terms change in their definitions and understandings. Gender itself is a social construct, bioessentialism (the idea that particular traits are inherent to any particular gender) is nonsense, and everything is so much more complicated than the idea of the gender binary. Celebrate that. Allow others to live their lives, and come together in a community of similar shared experiences.

Also, I'm just gonna say it. You've "retired" basically once a year for like. At least the last three years, I think longer. It's exhausting.

    1. Nothing, really. But it's exhausting, because for years now gensabi has been "retiring" and then, oh my, no, they didn't mean it! But each announcement has always been over the top dramatic, and it lessens the believability. Ok, you're "retiring". that means nothing, coming from you. But this recent turn to exclusionism, gate keeping, and literal transphobia against anyone who doesn't adhere to their specific definition of being trans is disgusting to me. and this most recent attack on trans kids is deeply disturbing.

    2. Frankly, I've been holding back commenting on gensabi's constant "retirement" drama for years, but not that they've done a full "nonbinary people aren't trans, gender roles are inherent" turn, I'm done holding my tongue.

    3. It's not an attack on children. Adults do crazy things, they always do. But it will take some time before people look back, and then realise how foolish humanity has been giving children dangerous puberty blockers. It's despicable children are being used as experimental material.

    4. Yes, it is an attack on children. trans kids are kids. they're kids who are trans. Puberty blockers aren't dangerous, that's some transphobic propaganda you're buying into for some reason.

  4. I've been where you are several times in my past, i can tell you that it isn't worth the fight or the words. they don't care and they won't change until they themselves see the damage done to actual trans individuals in the real world. but sadly many of them are chronic social media zombies who barely look away from the screen long enough to remember to breath. i myself have stopped interacting for the most part with the comment sections, as well as all other social media that doesn't have one on one chat rooms. there is no winner there is no loser, it's all bad and continues to grow worse every day. no matter how hard you try to avoid it online. the internet is not a space for the freedom of speech, it's a breeding nest full of people looking to tell you how to think and why.
walking away from online social interactions is the best thing i ever did for my mental stability.

  5. You're on to something Gensabi.

Look up the Weimar Republic and what was going on there. Then look up the backlash.

A lot of the people you're talking about are clueless as to can happen if they continue to push people where they don't want to go.

    1. The Weimar Republic suffered from economic problems like hyper inflation brought about by the punishing debt incurred from the Treaty of Versailles combined with a global economic crash.

The fact that you would look at the history of the German interwar period and think it in any way applied to pushing back on aggressive progressive ideas is completely fucking insane.

There are not entire swathes of the US heating their house by burnings worthless dollar bills, and they are not being fed propaganda that a particular minority is the cause of all that suffering. This is the stupidest fucking comparison i have ever seen, and really just comes across as you chomping at the bit for a reason to excuse the desire to be a literal Nazi towards people you don't like.

The Jews didn't push Germany too far, the Triple Entente did, and what resulted from it is and will always be monumentally inexcusable, abhorrent behavior. The fact that you seem to think Germany's behavior is a natural consequence of 'pushing people where they don't want to go' is completely out of line with the facts, and hammers home the idea that maybe clueless people shouldn't go around calling other people clueless. Jesus tap dancing Christ how did we go from 'neopronouns bad' to literal fucking Nazi apologists.

    2. You mean they aren't burning their dollar bills "yet". It won't be long before the dollar collapses. Then people will start worrying about real problems once again.

    3. I see someone's never heard of Magnus Hirschfeld, try reading little history before talking shit MORON!
While inflation and the economic mess were the major contributing factors, people were also uncomfortable about other things going on.
Why else would Hitler bother destroying the institute 3 months after becoming Chancellor?

BTW, RETARD, pointing out history is NOT being an apologist for ANYONE!

  6. Retard? Moron? oo and in all caps I can see no one has their buttons pressed here!

I am well aware who he is. You do realize anyone advocating for a superior race is going to target everyone different, right? I mean, the Holocaust was a thing that happened.

The apologism comes into play when the reasoning is defended. these weren't horrible people, they were just 'pushed too far' - and there is implication that it's perfectly reasonable that could happen again if more people get 'pushed too far'.

Someone read a couple Wikipedia articles and thinks they know everything there is to know, huh? None of the xenophobia would have taken off had the country not spent a decade avoiding the economic collapse brought on by foreign punishment. German society did not have some inbuilt racial hatred ready to go, the fires of economic insecurity had to be stoked for over a decade. I mean, the Beer Hall Putsch would have succeeded years before if people just hated gays. The institute existed during the Putsch and would continue on for a decade, albeit with harassment akin to a planned parenthood - something that has not changed with the defeat of nazism.

It was the DsT who looted the institute as part of a larger attack against pretty much all 'subversive' material, not *just* trans people. I'm sure Hitler was thrilled for the PR as seen by the fact Goebbels was there at the burnings a few days later, but i have not seen one iota of evidence indicating he personally ordered them to go after the institute.

Also, if you're going to go after someone factuality have your own straight. Hitler became chancellor in January of 1933. The book burning campaign of the DsT started in March, and they targeted the institute in May. They would continue throughout 1933, targeting any source of subversive material. They burned anything that did not confirm to Nazism, not just sexual literature. The level of destruction and violence and hatred against different groups would not have happened in an economically secure Germany. Ignoring the economic situation is just like saying the US Civil War was about states rights, an intrusive federal government, etc etc. Sure, those were gripes and grievances at the time, but without that contentious lynchpin of slavery would the war have happened? The same thing can be asked of Germany.

  7. So you're just a complete and utter fucking retard that refuses to actuallly read what is posted. If exposing you to facts is being an "apologist" in your fucked up ignorant excuse for an opinion, you're beyond hope.

BTW, the Institute's library on gender and sexuality (the largest in the world at the time) was the FIRST book burning they held. You have to be BRAIN DEAD to believe that they went there first randomly instead of it being a priority.
My only hope is that I am nowhere near your dumb ass when the shit hits the fan.

  8. I see there are a lot of hateful comments, but I for one would love to see you come out of retirement. You aren't hurting anyone. No one is forced to read your blog or your captions and believe it or not, you have many followers that enjoy your content for a variety of different reasons. Self-expression that doesn't hurt anyone or break any laws should not be vilified. I know it's not for everyone, but it is for many and you need to know your work is appreciated and missed. Good luck to you. I hope you come back as you truly are talented. But I understand if you don't.
