  1. so if the pool boy's wife tried to swap with the mother, but it caused the mother and offspring to switch because of warding, what happened to the wife?

    1. Somehow your comment went to spam or else I would've responded sooner. The wife stayed in her own body.

Backstory: The rich family in the past had owned slaves. With the emergence of voodoo magic amongst the slave population in the 1850s the family used old world magic to ward off the house from body swapping, curses, and the like. The only hitch in the warding was that body swap spells still have to swap the target with someone and it was felt redirecting it to another family member of blood would be best. Keeping the wealth in the family so to speak.

Being one of the few families to retain their property and wealth after the Civil War they retained the warding on the house.

So Pedro's wife was deflected back to her body and denied astral access to the house. The mom however was the target and the magical anchor to which the spell applies and must complete. Her son was the only blood relation in the house at the time thus he was automatically chosen by default.

    2. Ah cool, do you use that backstory often and I haven't noticed or just for this? I'd love a longer cap or multi cap that kinda explains the backstory. I've seen some of your other caps that you explain backstories in comments
and I think they would really add depth the a cap if they where explained in the cap. whether you choose to or not is up to you, I just thought I'd tell ya what I was thinking. Thank you for replying.

    3. Did I delete on accident my responce it showed up as posted but I lost it when I went back to the page. Instead of re-posting the whole thing I'll summerize:

Thanks for responding, I love the backstory. I would like to see more stories with the backstory included in the captions, i've seen you post backstories to commentators before, but I think it would add depth to stories if they were included. I know it adds length which has it's prose and cons. Just thought it was something I'd let you know of.

Anyways I enjoyed the cap, and the backstory. Thank you.

    4. I don't know why but your comments are automatically being sorted out as spam, and your original comment showed up after I selected that it's "not spam".

I kinda couldn't fit all that backstory into the picture the way it is so it was more implied than anything.

It's harder for me to make traditional cap spaces on a touch screen, and it's harder to make large texts because the keyboard takes up part of the screen.

    5. I didn't factor in a touch screen, that makes sense then. I don't know why I show up as spam... I don't think other sites have that issue when I comment... oh well.

    6. Well, it's not just you. I just found a comment by NeoRock in the Spam filter. I'm going to keep an eye on it.
