Ok, this is about a mechanical insect, a mosquito designed to collect DNA samples. Now, when it got full of samples it should've taken them back to its mad scientist creator. Unfortunately having artificial intelligence doesn't mean it's smart. So, when it got full in order to have space for more samples it had to inject a sample into somebody to clear out a vial for their sample. Thing is, the robo-bug wasn't designed to inject the samples into people, its only purpose was extraction, thus the glitch creates a transformation effect making the person who or whatever the DNA sample was from.
