So either have kid gloves like Superman and Lois or go full throttle like Superman and Wonder Woman.
Also bio-combine powers were common with DC in the 80s with Firestorm and then in the late 80s they introduced a new Dr. Fate where a brother combined with his sister, her body and his mind plus the helmet of Nabu.
