Dear Readers,
I haven't felt like doing much lately.
It's been in the 90s all week. I'm either tired or mentally exhausted by everything going on.
Neorock mentioned the statues. First it was Confederates. Then they took down George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ulysses S. Grant, Union soldiers, Teddy Roosevelt, Frederick Douglass, a few Catholic Saints, and they're trying to get a statue of Abraham Lincoln that was commissioned by freed slaves to commemorate the Emancipation taken down! This is like the Chinese Cultural Revolution of the 1960s. Only it's happening in the USA and BLM has admitted to being Marxists.
California is about to end equal opportunity employment and allow hiring discrimination based on race and sex.
Half of Oklahoma is now under the legal jurisdiction of Native Americans instead of ruled by state law.
Riots in Utah now too.
The pandemic is still going on. Hundreds of thousands have died.
Politics is everywhere. Tonight I went by a local pizza place and their sign said "No justice no peace".
I'm mentally tired by all of it. I have pics I'd like to cap but it's hard to focus while all this is going on.
Then tonight I found out that Silk is no longer a supported browser for logging into Blogger or Google, and thus I had to figure out how to get on here to type this on my Kindle Fire. Not easy.
I know the capped pics are helping some of you cope. It might even help me relax to make some. It's just my mind is being bombarded with too much.
I can try, but there's no guarantees. Still pic hunting, but pics are slimming down.
Good fiction usually mirrors a bit of the real world, but the world we knew seems more fiction than reality right now.
I don't think I can really write something that fits this year. This world. Maybe how it was. How life used to be. Maybe we need that. Nostalgia for last year anybody?
I'm not even sure how much longer I'll have free speech.
Sincerely,
Gensabi
This year sucks. So many changes. Not all of them good, some good, some are overwhelming overreaching their objective.
ReplyDeleteMore in addition to your other comment. No matter who wins this won't stop. Also there's nowhere to move to now. Virus has immigration halted. Europe won't let Americans in.
DeleteSee I have been given opposition on my stance on statues. Okay the way I see it, its history, it was bad for sure. But that was the past, leave it in the past, focus on the future, most of these riots on statues is again people disguising their intent to cause destruction in the form of a movement. These statues, should be preserved, and if not moved to a secure place, like a museum. Destruction will not erase the event, the statue had nothing to do with it, its just words in iron or metal, or a figure who lived. So freaking what, focus your movement on something that matters. USA has lost their way this year. I hope it gets better soon, if he wins again, i might move.
ReplyDeleteBro, they're just fucking statues who cares
DeleteLosing history, means losing your identity. That applies to good and bad. When you get rid of all the bad you forget why it was important. The same mistakes can then be made again. Display your mistakes and proclaim what you have learned from them. Don't cover them up and forget, or in the case of statues tear them down and remove.

DeleteExcept actual historians have literally said confederate statues have no historical value
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/confederate-statues/
The thing is statues are also art. Destruction of them is destruction of art. It's no longer just Confederate statues. The statues of Black Union soldiers, the ones the movie "Glory" was about was also vandalized. Grant defeated the Confederacy and took down the original Klan and they took down his statue. They even took down one of Frederick Douglass!
DeleteOn Twitter there's people attacking actor Terry Crews for quoting Mr. Rogers!
This is insanity!
Bro statues, are art, have history to them, preserved history, that is how we learn from our mistakes, leave the past in the past. Focus on the future. Destruction of statues in the past. Who are landmarks btw. Should be preserved, what does Destruction of statues show? How does it help your cause this movement. It just shows mob mentality. And opportunists to destroy and get angry, and claim its for the movement. You got reform happening, you got justice. When will it be enough, are yo u trying to erase anything bad, does that mean you want them stripped from books as well? Destroying statues, is not gonna change the fact that it happened. If you wanted that invent a time machine, go back to that event and change it. The fact of the matter is that it happened. Yes it was bad, but we learned from event. And moved past it. Every little event helped shape this country.
DeleteNeoRock, if Dementia Joe Biden wins, it will get a whole lot worse. He's said he's coming after people's guns and is going to raise taxes sky high. People have no jobs and no money to pay taxes, and they won't put up with being disarmed while radicals and criminals are being allowed to run riot.
DeleteAnd he's also going to defund the police, just like the radicals want. That will propel the crime rate to levels never seen before. No law and order, no society.
DeleteThe world is going to hell because of far left and far right politics. There's no center ground anymore. We're all doomed.
ReplyDeleteIt's only getting worse. Nick Cannon just put out Hitler level xenophobic remarks to justify hating Whites whom he says are closer to animals and that lack of melanin means lack of empathy and soul, that Whites can only be evil and Savages. A museum put out a graphic describing "whiteness" that attacks time, scientific method, individualism, and more. It's 1933 Germany up in here. Censorship is starting to take hold online too.
DeleteAstounded how fucking crazy some people in this community are. Really weird to see maga types in a community based around men changing into women in various ways. The right would call you mentally ill pedos or something so why take their side? Statues and guns?
