Delete The Blog Or Not?

 Dear Readers & Haters,

So, a comment on my last post suggests that I delete the blog if I'm so serious about retirement, especially with this new legal issue because apparently possibly going to prison isn't enough to deter me from posting new ones. 

So, who else agrees with deletion? 

Anybody against?

I was just gonna leave it up for posterity, but if the readers want it gone, then so be it. 

Over 20 years of capped pics would be gone in an instant. 

I just didn't see a point in deleting if I just stopped. I hate it when blogs I followed just wind up gone. That's me though. Is deletion the expected thing?

An Elaboration On Why I'm Done 100%

Dear Readers & Haters,

This is the law that got passed. I know some were skeptical of me staying gone, so I screenshot it so all of you can see it and understand. I'm not a lawyer. This may go against the first amendment of the USA Constitution but I don't want to be the case to find out or wind up in prison based on the vagueness of this new law. From my reading of this captioned TG images may be applicable to it. Although the captions are works of fiction the use of images real or A.I. could trigger it or even the subject matter. That's the big issue. This law attacks and limits free artistic expression but in such ways I doubt it'll get overturned. Even Manga may be affected by this. 

This altered the complete understanding of the legality of making TG captioned photos. It was shaky with fair use doctrine, artistic expression, fictional being legal but real for certain tropes aren't, etc. This law is written in a way that eliminates most of those legality concepts. The intent is to stop deep fakes or revenge porn. It even attacks A.I. or digitally created images. The revenge porn aspect? A lot of people make requests for caps that story-wise might fit that. 

This isn't me trying to be dramatic or hyperbolic. This is my retirement has to stick in order to obey the law and not need a lawyer I can't afford or a public defender that might half-ass it. In other words, this law scared the crap outta me. 

Maybe I'm over thinking it. Maybe this will never be used against TG captioned photos. For me it's better to be safe than sorry.

Dear Readers And Haters,

I was going to stay away for much longer to prove a point, but the news just reached me today about President Trump signing the "Take It Down Act" which is a serious curtailing of First Amendment rights. Although what I make is fiction and should be protected as free speech and artistic expression this art form has always had some shakey legal grounds. From what I understand this act tackles not only the use of A.I. photos but also real photos in reposting as possible "revenge porn". Again all I write is fictional but we're in new legal definitions territory. Quite frankly I'm not even sure it was safe to post the last new ones I made. I had them as drafts though so that's it. Until this can be challenged in the courts & clarified being sorted out I cannot make more to post. I mean, I can make 'em but not post them. I don't know if a Purge is coming. Fighting the urge to just delete the blog entirely. 

My advice is save and archive whatever you can while you can. It's been getting harder to know what new models are real or A.I. so I have no clue. Until a court overrules it or clarifies it it's now law where I'm at. So, back into retirement I go possibly for good due to this. The last 3 posts are my farewell until something happens that reopens up free speech again.

Dear Readers,

So, I recently had a burst of capping creativity. Thought I was going to make a lot more. Started a few ambitious multi-capped series' I couldn't get the gumption to finish. So I made a post returning to being fully retired saying I'd upload the unfinished content and I did. Yes, I did then make some new ones and uploaded those. I actually have 2 more capped pics done but the comments makes it clear I should just stay gone instead of uploading everything I make that's new. Fine. If my coming back every so often is a problem I will stop.
